Diary for Our Grey Nomad Adventures

Well things are a bit up in the air.....

2018-03-17

HI All

We are about to leave to meet Ken's friend, Jimmy and his wife, Cheryl, in Bright. Then we will head north, eventually getting to Dubbo on Easter Tuesday for my sisters wedding on April 6.

We have been in Sydney since we got off the Queen Mary.

We had intended to leave Dad's February 28th. But Kenny had results from a routine blood test that informed us he needed to undergo some investigation into his prostrate levels.

After doing this, we were told last Friday that Kenny has prostrate cancer at an intermediate level. We need now to treat this before we can go away for any length of time. We were a bit blindsided by all this news, and thank everyone for their love and support you have shown us.

We are going away for this 3 weeks and then will have to do some  more tests in order to ascertain what treatment Kenny will undertake.

We have spent our time here catching up with family and friends. It has been great to do that.

We will let you know things as we find them out. But are really looking forward to getting back in our beloved FunUp tomorrow and heading south for a good time...... again with friends and then family at our sister's wedding in Dubbo.
