Hi! Everyone,
‘My name is Abdallah aged 20 years. Am happy to inform you that am in the last year of my secondary school and only remaining 1 term before I do my final secondary school exam i.e towards the end of this year. However I’d like to thank my sponsors for their continued support towards my education ever since I was recruited into the program when I was in the kindergarten until now! If it were not for my sponsor support I would not have reached to this level.
Now that am in form 4 am doing a total of 7 subjects i.e Mathematics,English,Kiswahili,Chemistry,Biology,History and Christian Religious Education (C.R.E). Initially when I was in form 1-2 I did a total of 11 subjects but I moved to the higher classes i.e for 3 and now form 4 the subjects started to reduce. My favorite subject is History. In our class we are 52 kids i.e 30 are girls while for us boys we are 22.
My day begins at 4.00 pm when I wake and start preparing for school and my school day schedule is as follows;-
4.00-5.00am…………………wake up and preparation time.
5.00-5.30am………………..breakfast where I most have black tea with bread.
5.30-6.00am…………………walk to school.
6.00-8.00a.m…………………revision work while in class.
Note; However during Mondays and Fridays we do have school assembly as from 7.30-8.00am.For the rest of the days during that time we only do revision work.
8.00-8.40am………………….1st official morning lesson.
8.40-9.20am………………2nd morning lesson.
9.20-9.30am………………..short break.
9.30—10.10am………….3rd morning lesson.
10.10-10.50am………… 4th morning lesson.
10.50-11.30am…………..long morning break.
11.30-12.10pm………..5th lesson.
12.10-12.50pm……….6th lesson.
12.50-2.00pm…………lunch.
2.00-2.40pm…………..1st afternoon lesson.
2.40-3.20 pm……………..2nd afternoon lesson.
3.20-4.00pm………………..3rd afternoon lesson.
4.00-6.00pm……………..revision time.
Note;- On Tuesday and Thursday we have school games as from 4-6pm.The kind of games we have at school are netball for the girls and football for us boys.
For our school examination this year, we’ll be doing the normal school examination followed by mock examination which is a pretrial exam before the main and final exam i.e the Kenya Certificate of Secondary exam.(KCSE).
So as to prepare for my final exam, we have formed a discussion group whereby each member contribute in the discussion what she or he is very good at so as to like ‘teach’ his or her colleagues. During the discussion we do use past examinations question papers so as to give us a clue of how the main exam looks like.
Also at school we have laboratories i.e for Physics, Chemistry and Biology where we do lots of science practicals.Specifically in Biology I love doing the plant germination test and food tests while in Chemistry I like doing practicals on titration and test for cation.
For my career I’ve now made up my mind that I would like to be a teacher. My favorite food is rice and beans
