Samanak is a traditional food of Afghanistan

people don’t cook Samanak in their daily life , they cook it once a year and in March month and they cook it for their happiness of God and solving their problems preparation of Samanak is first they put wheat in wooden tray and quantity of wheat is in their own choice and they put wheat in the rainy days on the yard to grow with the water of rain and they spray water on wheat when the wheat grows the cut green parts of the wheat and throw it in the tray.
Left only the roots then they cut it to small pieces and blended in the blender and then they take out the water of it and they mix a quantity of flour with the water of roots and then they put it in a big dish on the fire and they start cooking from med night tell morning and slowly add more flour and mix it with wooden skimmer from that time to change the color of Samanak to light brown it will take hours to cook if some one wants to add dry fruits like hazelnut , almond and poppy they never use sugar in it but it has a taste of sugar and it’s a very strong dish this is women's festival during the cooking of Samanak the owners of Samanak invite their relatives the wear new dresses and put henna on their hands they sang songs all the night and it has a special song for Samanak and this is a very unique festival for the women.
