Barcelona We've arrived in Barcelona. We're only spending two nights and one day here. Today we went on an open top bus tour. We took the west bus route. Most of the building we passed were designed by Gaudi. Gaudi designed most of Barcelona. The building we are staying in was also designed by Gaudi. We passed some amazing things while we were on top of the bus, like La Sagrada Familia which is a cathedral that Gaudi spent ages and ages designing and is still in construction now. At one of the stops we got off the bus and went to find somewhere to have lunch. We found a really nice Italian restaurant and ate there. We all had pasta but they had really huge portions! So my sister and I shared one. They wrapped up all the food we didn't want and gave it to us so we could eat it for dinner. After lunch my mum and I went to have a rest in the room because we felt hot and tired but my Dad and sister went to do another bus route. When they finished their bus tour they came to meet us at the B&B. We went to the Sagrada Famlia because we had booked tickets online to go and see it. We got the guided tour audio guides and stated to walk around. Inside it had lots and lots of columns holding it up and there were all these different stained glass windows. There was a big altar at the front of the cathedral and there were seats lined all along it. It was very unusual, like something out of Disneyland. We went outside theback and saw a wall that had all these engraved pictures on it of donkeys and different animals and things and we learned that it had 6 bell towers at the top that you couldn't quite see from out the front. We went round underneath the cathedral and went into the museum part. We looked at all the things they had made as little models of the towers, columns and things that were added together to make the cathedral. We saw lots of different pictures of them making it. Once our tour was over we left and went back to our apartment to have our dinner. The next morning when we were leaving the B&B early to catch our plane, the lady there had ordered a taxi for us even though she wasn't staying there. So went went to ask Dad for the key to get out of the downstairs door, except we had left it in the B&B which was locked. We kept knocking on people's doors to let us out but everyone was speaking Spanish or asleep! Finially the taxi driver on the other side of the door called the B&B lady and mimed to us to go up and get the key under the mat of our B&B on the 3rd floor. We finally found the key and went to the airport to go and meet our family in Majorca.
