It took us a 10h coach trip (by night) to get here, we are a bit tired this morning, but we survived so we can try to go to Peru now! It was a test... Cuenca is an amazing colonial city, and today is the market day (quite lucky indeed). The weather is much nicer than in Quito (really hot and sunny) and the people really friendly. Quite dangerous surroundings, Beto wouldn´t let me get my camera out of my bag! Quito is a beautiful city, but you can really feel the altitude (2850m) so we felt rather lazy :-) We went to La Mitad del Mundo, quite fun to have one feet on the North Hemisphere and the other on the South Hemisphere! Otavalo (the biggest craft market in Ecuador) was great!!!! It took us 6 hours to get there, there was quite a lot of traffic and the bus was full It is a small village in the mountain and the Otavalenos, the locals, were all dress in a traditional way. We stayed at a colonial hotel, it was lovely!
