Indonesia part 2: beginning of twinnie adventures We arrived today on Gili T but first we should talk about our time on Ubud. On our first day of arriving there after what was an interesting journey on a worn out bus, we arrived at Jati-3. We had a big two floor bungalow, very authentic that overlooked the forrest and you could here the river Ayung passing below the balcony. Great markets, highlights we're getting my luggage delivered (phew!), white water rafting with Rready down the river Ayung. I dont think we have ever climbed so many steps..! I can't remember whether I have said already but Rready the rafting guide was hilarious, always getting us to crash into the rocks, laughing his head off, I sat on his lap a few too many times in the collision and lets just say when he pulled me back on the boat one time, it led to an awkward intimate moment.. Then we went to the monkey sanctuary which was weird.. So many monkeys, not as scary as we thought, although only narrowly escaped being wee'd on by one on a tree. Oh and Beth and Lauren moved faster than ever before when one older monkey got scared and bared it's teeth. Food was great there, only down side was the traffic.. Tiny roads, too many taxis and bikes - shame. Now on paradise island. Stress at first because our plush accommodation fell through last minute (overbooked). We turned up and managed to get a decent enough room for the night and tralled the strip trying to find something a bit nicer for the next three nights. After feeling disappointed that the plush place fell though, I had my standards set high.. We have managed to find a great place but at a price! But if you can't here when can you... Just had amazing street food in the market, sitting on beach front bar drinking some large Bintang. Looking forward to some sunbathing and snorkling tomorrow...
