Shannon & Pamela's Adventures
27th Jun 2012 - Shanpams travelling adventure
*We Will Pack Our Lives With Great Memories*

We are now home after travelling for almost 13 months, or 55 weeks, or 388 days. We have been to 8 counties over 3 continents, seen 7 capital cities and went to 6 of the 8 Australian state capitals.

It definitely feels weird to be back. Good weird and bad weird. Good because we are home and enjoying home comforts, from food to sleeping arrangements, to seeing friends and family. But bad because it's over, and in some ways it feels like we've never been away, or just like we've been to Spain for a week. Everyone around us has stayed the same in the past year and we have done and seen so many amazing things it's a little hard to fit back into our old lifestyle.

People have continuously asked us 'so what's been your highlight?', 'what's the best thing you've done?' But that's a very hard question and also rhetorical because how can we say just one thing, we have done more than we ever imagined  and are so grateful. We just want to say 'everything!'.  At our surprise welcome home party it became apparent what everyone else would sum up our whole experience- we were in a motorbike accident and we drive posh cars at work!
So I've complied a list of our top experiences from Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia and China. It's not the first list I've made as it was huge and full of too many of the amazing things we have been lucky enough to have seen and done so this (believe it or not) is the shortened version consisting of our....

I'm not exactly the most gifted at writing (and listening it would seem) but for the most part it has been fun writing down what we have been getting up to, and it's something to keep for the grandchildren.

Cheerie, Love Shannon and Pamela xx
