Australia trip
27th Mar 2012
Melbourne

Tues 27th

Had a bit of a trek dragging our cases to the Avis office to collect our car. Got sorted and set off on the Great Ocean Road. Not too hard getting out of Melbourne  ( lots of road closures for the funeral of famous AFL player Jim Stynes)and on our way.Got to Torquay and got all the maps and info we needed. Ambled down the coast stopping at view sites. What a beautiful coast. The road was built by ex soldiers after  WW1 to provide employment for returning soldiers. Got to Lorne and struck lucky with somewhere to stay. Cheapest place we have found and realyl nice, free wifi and she did a load of washing for us for $5.  Went inland to Eskine Falls and then a walk along the  beach.Went off to dinner and came back to a pile of clean clothes.Temperatures defineately  falling. Needed a jumper today!!
