Day 536 Moama/Echuca
Woke up to the penultimate day of our trip. Mixed emotions as we are sad that it is coming to end but looking forward to setting up in Ballarat and connecting with the grand kids. Walked into Echuca and went to the bank to organise for sending the payment for the new car. Then wandered around the shops and bought a hotplate liner for the barbeque. Tim had used one on the yacht when we were cruising around the buccaneer archipelago and it was great. It is excellent to cook on and so easy to clean. Went back to the wisteria café for lunch. Excellent again. Walked around the docks area looking at some of the house boats getting packed up for a trip. Happy memories for us there. Walked back around the river and back to Monte. Tim went for his compulsory swim although not in the Murray as there is an algae issue with the river at present. We decided to go to the Moama Bowling Club for dinner as we had visited there lots with Bill and Dot when they were alive. We were very disappointed with the meals though. Started packing up monte for the trip back to Melbourne tomorrow for the last time. Tomorrow will be the last post on the blog.
