Day 2

1252nm to go

Well not much is happening, we have spurts of nice wind and we click along at 6 knts,
Than we have no wind and have to motor sail,

It's still very rolly even when we have no winds, which sucks, but we have around a two meter swell so I guess you have to expect some movement.
But so far all is good.

We are still able to hook up with sailmail but only around 7-8 pm at night and we have been trying to listen in to the radio nets, there is two going on at the moment we can not hear them real well yet, but hoping once we get closer to SA we will get better reception, especially one of them they call it the Peri Peri network, and they are brilliant with weather forecast and can even nurse you all the way in if need be.
We even heard that if things get too bad they will send out one of their boats and tow you in.

Apparently they have very good heavy weather boats, but I imagine you would need to be closer to the coast for that to happen.

We have been told also that there is a lot of whales and cargo ships along this route but so far all we have seen is a few cargo ships on the radar and not much else.

Well tomorrow is another day.
