Day 5

8.30am

Position 22°11'S, 06°25'E

And it's morning just wonderful, yeah I'm feeling a bit out of sorts, we had a really rough night, the boat rolled from side to side all night long, and it made for a very very long night.

Even though I managed to get a fair amount of sleep it never seems enough when it's a broken sleep.

This morning is overcast again, and we have actually seen storm clouds on the radar, that's a first in a long long time, actually seeing proper clouds is a first in a long time.

I'm not sure that I want a storm at all, or rain, but if it rains at least we may finally get to wash off some of this Namibian desert.

We had another ship in the early hours of this morning, and we got to see it this time, although it never got closer than 5nm you could see their lights quite easy.

Again it was another one from the Marshall Islands, but this one was heading for Mombasa, so the AIS said it would reach there on the 18th December, I'm so glad it's not us going that way, they have to sail in pirate waters, Mombasa is right next door to Somalia.

Oh and we have our first bait delivery onboard, in the early hours of this morning, I heard some flapping going on and in daylight I had a peak outside and yeah there it was one very sad, dried out flying fish.

11pm

Yeap on watch again, what's been happening? not a great deal, I am actually struggling with this watch, I guess I'm just tired, and my body is aching, well more so now than a few minutes ago.

I was going down the companionway steps, now we are always careful going down them  (especially out at sea) an injury out here could be really bad, we always go down kinda sliding our butts down the hand rail.

Well silly me, thought it was ok to go down normal this time, it was not overly rough out here, so I get to the third step, and the boat rolls, and I'm left dangling by my finger tips, I kinda swayed like a monkey for what felt like hours, before my feet found the steps again.

I have no idea how I managed to hang on, and I am shore I'm a inch or two taller....haha

Am going to be in a lot of pain tomorrow.

Well tomorrow is another day.
