St Helena Friday 1st January 2016

Well Happy New Year everyone.

What a year we have had, man it's been full on and I can't help wonder what this year will be, I guess we all think that hey.

Who knows where we will end up, we plan to sail a season in the Caribbean, but are stuck here at the moment, after the Carib we were thinking of doing a good chunk of South America, but Scotland, Ireland and Wales has a lot of appeal, as well.

Then on the other side of the coin we have home, a little cottage in the country, family, friends and the grandchildren, man we are so torn.

I know I'm not ready to give up this life, I love everything about it, the freedom to do what we want, when we want, has the most appeal.

But I do love the ocean, sailing across it, well when there is no storms that is, there is something so special being out there with not a soul in sight, oh and the night times are just magic, when you have a clear night and all the stars are out, and the phosphorescence in the water, man I just love it.

I love coming into new countries and never knowing what to expect, I love getting to know the locals and living and learning about their little spot on this planet of ours.

I know we have massive dramas but that's what life is all about living on the edge...haha.

Where has all this come from?  man I guess we often sit and ponder and try and work out what to do with our lives, and the big answer is, we have no idea.

So getting back to today, we had a very quiet one, The Captain and myself have both had upset tummy's today The Captain more so than myself, he has layed down most of the day and I have been just taking it easy, and trying to catch another one of those brim.

Well tomorrow is another day.
