Day 1-July 6, 2017-We're off again

Day 1-July 6, 2017-To Tifton, GA

Drove 218 miles in 4 hours.  102 degrees

We have been home in Homosassa for two weeks since our trip up north.  Got the RV awning repaired, fixed the burner in the stove, had some great card games and a wonderful 4th of July party with neighbors.   But we never felt like our northern trip was an RV trip so here we go again.  We were going to leave yesterday but Harry came down with some sort of sinus infection so we went to the walk-in clinic in the morning and got some meds and he spent the rest of the day asleep.  Didn’t know if we would leave today or not until he got up this morning and felt much better.  We stopped at the same RV park on I-75 that we had stayed in on our way home last month.  Hooked up, had lunch and then the power went out.  Harry reset the breaker outside, it went out again and again.  The owner came over and replaced the breaker and as we were talking to him it went out again.  So we moved to another site.  Not a big deal, except it’s 102 out.  After that Harry needed a bit of a nap, he’s still not 100%.  Read for the rest of the afternoon, it’s even too hot to go outside under the awning. Took a walk after dinner for about 5 minutes…the no-see-ums were horrible!!  This is the first trip we’ve been on that I have made an itinerary from the day we leave ‘til the day we get back.  Don’t know exactly how many days we’re staying each place but I’ve got the places mapped out with available campgrounds, mileage charts and things to do.  It should be interesting to see how well we stick to this plan.  Knowing us we’ll find something cool to do in a totally different direction from where we’re headed and do an about face.  I’ll keep you posted as to how we’re doing.
