scotland...its dark, it rains, and its windy...but it doesnt have hurricanes!

yes...back at work, where the major discussion point is what will all the workies say when our breakfast deal goes up 25p tomorrow at 6am. yikes! ive tried to warn as many as possible...but there will be sticking-out lips and dummies thrown like billy-o! i just cant tell you how angry grown men get when they cant get omlette on their bacon roll due to supplier issues, so who knows what will happen...panic in the streets!!!

but, like i fucking care...to be honest, since rose died, i have come to the realisation that very few things actually matter, and i no longer get stressed out about work, its not that i dont care, its just that its just not important. what is important is my people, friends, having a good time and, hate to sound really selfish, though its not what i mean, doing what you care about and want, as much as you can.

and these photos are all about all of that....we had such a great time. and, derek, omg, ate so much meat, just hunks of meat, which i dont usually do....we all got a bit bbq-ed out. wasnt mad on the dry bbq...though loved peg-leg porkers in knoxville...what fun it was, and the blues cafe in memphis...loud, busy, huge plates of chips and bbq sauce with cheese everywhere, including the floor.

and the brew thru is only in the outer banks of carolina...but i bet they could expand over the whole usa....brilliant service.

my favourite meals....blue cheese slaw in asheville, coconut shrimp in ocracoke, spicy chicken poppers in the hotel in knoxville, and spicy chicken wings (with no bones, and enough for 3 people) in calhouns. we drank so much boutique beer, its hard to pick one out, but in bottles...the blue moon beer. loved the lightning rod coaster, but wouldnt recommend paying $75 for dollywood, and yet..the $50 for graceland is money well spent..not to mention all the shopping i did there. the civil rights museum will never leave my memory, best museum ever, and the soda fountains in mississippi and alabama. kudzu is another thing, its everywhere, the scourge of the south, and the confederate flag, kinda the same.

but...what a blast...such great times, and at the right time....no hurricanes for us! just got out in time!
