Hi! Everyone,

‘My name is Salwa aged 19 years old and in form 4.The name of my school is called Lulu Girls’ High School situated in the South Coast of Mombasa at a place called Ukunda. Our school was established in the year 2007 and started as a mixed school, however it was later separated into girls and boys school after the school management built a separate girls’ school while the original school remained for the boys. We girls were only transferred to our new school buildings of the girls high school last year in 2017.

Our school has a student population of 103 girls with 11 teachers, each form has 1 stream making a total of 4 streams from form 1-4.Am so happy to have reached up to this level and now that am about to complete my secondary school, form 4 which am very thank full to my sponsors through Gail and Sara of the Mtomondoni sponsorship program. It is through this program which has taken me to this level of learning especially me being a girl.

Our school is a boarding school comprising of 4 large dormitories or houses namely Rain,Zambezi,Nile and Tana. Each dormitory is subdivided into 12 cubes, each cube is occupied by between 4-6 girls.
