Hi! Everyone,
Hope you are all fine with wherever you are.We all here in Kenya are fine too despite the recent long and unsusual flooding rains which have been on since the month of April through out the month of May and now this month the rains are starting to reduce.Due to this hundreds of thousand of families here in Kenya has been displaced and almost 200 lives lost due to the floods. However we thank God none of us here in Kenya and especially the families under our Mtomondoni sponsorship program were not directly and negatively affected and are going on well with their daily activities.
In relation to the above Kenyan situation due to rains,i want to send my many appreciations to everyone of you as friends and sponsors of the Mtomondoni sponsorship program that through your contributions and generosity towards the kids families, some of the families have benefitted by being built either permanent houses or semi-permanent which are also stable houses. These kids families who have benefitted from the housing projects include Hamisi,Abdalla,Justin,Wycliff,Samuel,Pendo and Zena's. Due to such kind of projects the families have overcomed the flooding situations which has recently affected the entire nation of Kenya and if it were not for such kind of help these kids could be out in the cold with no place to leave as there previous houses were badly off and about to fall down.
Apart from the housing project, also through the Mtomondoni sponsorship program,Mtwapa Academy school which was the initial school where all the sponsored kids started learning from was at first a temporary built school (built of iron sheets all over) but through the Mtomondoni sponsorship program under the coordination of Gail and Sara-England who looked out for sponsors like you all and some assistance from some of the England schools,Mtwapa Academy school was rebuilt to a permanent school and now it's fully permanently built. As i speak now some of the schools here in Kenya were closed even after reopening due to the recent floods and kids have not been able to go to school, thanks God and through your assistance as sponsors and friends of the program, kids at Mtwapa Academy are happily learning in permanent classrooms.
Finally, today i needed to post a school list of all of our Mtomondoni Sponsorship Program kids as shown on the table below;-
